Mr. Tim Thornton, Chief Executive Officer/President
Mr. Thornton has forty years of technical, management, and marketing experience supporting government and industry customers. His experience has ranged from advisory services, system development, commercial products, and international programs. He founded nLogic and serves as Chief Executive Officer & President. Earlier, he founded Torch Systems, a wholly-owned subsidiary of Torch Technologies, and served as President. Prior, he was a Vice President and Member of Board of Directors for Davidson Technologies. His previous positions include Director of Advanced Technologies for System Studies and Simulation, Division Manager of Advanced Technologies for Coleman Research Corporation, and a Research Technician (Co-op) for Georgia Tech Research Institute. He has served on several Boards of Directors including Huntsville/Madison County Chamber of Commerce; Better Business Bureau (BBB); Huntsville Association of Small Businesses in Advanced Technology (HASBAT); Army Space and Missile Defense Association (ASMDA); Character Foundation of North Alabama (CFNA); Cyber Huntsville Advisory Council; University of Alabama in Huntsville (UAH) Research & Technology Corporation; UAH Foundation; and Huntsville Hospital Foundation (HHF). He is a graduate of Leadership Huntsville/Madison County Class 29. He is recipient of the Russell G. Brown Executive Leadership Award from the Huntsville/Madison County Chamber of Commerce. He received the Small Business Administration (SBA) Alabama District Director’s Award. He was recognized as HASBAT Professional of the Year and National Defense Industrial Association (NDIA) Professional of the Year. He was recognized with the UAH Alumni of Achievement Award from the College of Engineering. He was selected as a College of Business Administration Fellow by the UAH. He serves on the UAH College of Business Dean’s External Advisory Board and College of Engineering Dean’s Engineering Advisory Board. He earned a Master of Science in Electrical Engineering and Bachelor of Science in Electrical & Computer Engineering both from The University of Alabama in Huntsville with Summa Cum Laude honors.
